Also known as \u2018lumbar hyperlordosis\u2019 or \u2018hollow back\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Swayback is similar and is sometimes confused with excessive lordosis. However, the shoulders and chest lean backwards on a person with swayback. This causes their chin and pelvis to thrust forward, which makes the curve in their lumbar spine look deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">What causes excessive lordosis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Several conditions can lead to excessive lordosis. Conditions like spondylolisthesis or pregnancy may also contribute.
